Salsa Chicken

Hi friends!

I have the easiest (and ugliest) chicken recipe for you today. Seriously, there is no way to photograph  this and make it look appetizing, but I promise you it is delicious! It just takes TWO ingredients. I’m sure there are versions of this floating around the internet, but I had to share it as well, because it’s just that life changing, (;

Ready? All you need is a slow cooker, chicken, and a jar of salsa (creative title, right?).

Now this next part is really complicated, so pay close attention. Put the chicken in your crockpot. Pour salsa on top of it.

Turn your slow cooker on low for 8 hours, stirring once at halfway if needed. Then shred the chicken and that’s it!

This seriously could not be easier, and now you have chicken for the whole week! It’s great in salads, burritos, over rice and beans, or whatever you’d like!

Ingredients

1.5 lbs. chicken thighs

1 jar of medium salsa

Instructions

1. Place chicken thighs in slow cooker.

2. Pour salsa over chicken.

3. Turn slow cooker on to low and cook for about 8 hours, stirring halfway through if you would like.

4. After 8 hours, shred the chicken. Store in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze and thaw as needed.

Hooray! Now go stock your fridge with this easy shredded chicken!
